Ambre Hotel - 4 Star Resort

Built as a perfect blend of warm woods stone and thatch, the hotel provides a uniquely warm and intimate atmosphere which is perfectly reflected in the style of its charming patio, set out in luxurious nature - the ideal tropical refuge.

Located less that an hour drive from the airport and from the capital Port Louis, this three stars establishment stretches out on 1 km of white sandy beach bordered by a turquoise lagoon.

The classic island style of the exterior has been carried over into the design of the 298 spacious rooms and suites. Kept in warm, natural hues, these are furnished elegantly and with all amenities.

Hotel guests are offered a choice of four restaurants, serving theme buffets, gourmet cuisine, seafood specialties and Italian cuisine. Several bars offer snacks, light lunches and sandwiches as well as a variety of drinks, disco and live entertainment.

The Mini-club for kids and the teenager club offer age specific activities for the young ones and more relaxation or leisure time for the parents. Video games for children and teenagers are offered at the English pub.

Deep relaxation and well-being may be obtained in the Dolphin spa, the hotels health and beauty centre. Spread over 600 square meters, this centre is dedicated to Chinese energetic medicine but also offers various other treatments and massages.

A range of leisure and sports activities may be enjoyed by the hotel guests. Water sports embrace windsurfing, snorkelling, dinghy sailing, and water ski, while on land yoga, aerobics, table tennis and badminton are offered amongst others.

Several boutiques offer souvenirs, beach wear, newspapers and magazines. A tour operator's desk provides help and assistance for those who wish to discover the island.

RESTAURANT & BAR

"L'Etoile des Indes" the main restaurant for breakfast and evening buffet ranging from local delights, Indian, Chinese, Oriental and European cuisine.

"Les Alizés" the beach restaurant with panoramic view of the bay open for lunch and dinner.

"Le Mare Monti" serves Italian cuisine in the evening.

"Les Filaos" the hotels gourmet restaurant open evenings and on request for groups.

"Le Sirné" overlooking the swimming pool and dance floor with live entertainment.

The "Beach Bar" bordering the sea shore, offers you a variety of tropical cocktails or a cold drink and serves a quick snack / sandwiches.

The "Hibiscus" bar invites all generations to have a drink in a cosy atmosphere as well enjoys the billiard tables and video games of the first floor.

The luxurious, refined and Zen environment of Dolphin Spa based on the thalassic energy offers personalised cares thanks to the use of natural product rich in phytoplankton, algae and olingo elements. Professionals give you the opportunity to make your choice from massages, facial and body care, to complete set of hydrotherapy.

For all the accommodation, the check-in time is generally 14:00 (2 pm local time), and check-out time is 11:00 (11 am local time). Guests can ask for early arrival or late departure. Generally, charges apply equivalent to 50% of the normal rate for one night.

• Late check-out is considered to be before 18h00

Policy on children staying with parents:

Single Parent Offer:

There is a single parent offer, where one child under 12 years of age will be allowed to stay with one adult. The 1/2 Double half board rate will be applicable for the adult and the child. This facility is open round the year, except during the peak season.

Standard & Privilege rooms - children in own room:

Up to two children from two to 12 years of age can opt for accommodation in their own room. There will be a reduction of 25% on 1/2 DBL adult per child, for this facility.

Cancellation Policy:

Payment

You must pay a deposit at the time of confirmation of your booking. This is usually 30% of the total amount. Sometimes a higher deposit is required, if airlines or other service providers request full payment. This especially applies for airlines, and certain accommodations requiring higher advance deposits -this happens mostly during peak season.

If you are booking within 40 or less days of the commencement of your visit, full payment will be due right away.

Balances to be paid must reach our account no less than 35 days before your visit with us. If we do not receive all payments due in full and on time, we are entitled to assume that you wish to cancel your booking. In this case, we will be entitled to keep all deposits paid or due at that date.

For some group tours, an additional interim payment is required, of which you will be notified at the time of quotation.

Credit card payments may incur a surcharge, which is advised at the time of payment. The surcharge range between 1 to 3% of the total invoiced amount.

Modification and cancellation policies:

Any modification or cancellation of a confirmed reservation for services will entail additional charges equivalent to the corresponding costs charged by the service providers. These charges may include penalties, administration fees and bank charges.

Airline tickets are personal and cannot be modified, transferred to or replaced by somebody else's name.

We will do our utmost to facilitate changes before the travel date; however please be advised that most flight tickets are non-refundable and that our partners apply cancellation fees. If cancellations occur within seven days after booking of services, a 3% administration fee applies. Deposits for cancellation of confirmed services more than 7 days after booking are non-refundable.

Every service provider has their own cancellation policy and cancellation fee amount. Maurisun has standardised their payment terms and cancellation fees in an effort to provide our clients with a standard policy. We will advise upon booking if conditions have become more restrictive. We refer to the General Conditions if no others are stated in the price list or no special conditions are enclosed with the invoice.

General Cancellation Policy for accommodations after full payment has been made:

• Cancellation within 14 days of booking: 50% of full amount
• Cancellation within 7 days of booking: 75% of full amount
• Cancellation within 72 hours of booking: 100% of full amount

Cancellation conditions are generally more restrictive for accommodation during peak season (Mid December to mid January) with 100% of the full amount being withheld within 45 days of booking.
