Hotel wedding in Mauritius

Most hotels on our island conduct wedding ceremonies in their garden or by the beach. If you book a hotel wedding package, we will help you organize your event in collaboration with the hotel's guest relations officer/wedding planner, as we are aware that the hotel can only assist you according to their capacity.

Knowing that missing information about the basic set up can generate a lot of extra cost for you, and you may even have to go out on a last-minute shopping trip to acquire what you thought should be a part of the arrangement, we from Maurisun are there to assist with these details and thus help bringing down the cost whilst keeping the standard.

The Maurisun wedding assistance service is optional. For the couple that like to have this extra assurance with Maurisun wedding coordinator this small fee will be added to the wedding package.

 Below you can find an example of a typical hotel wedding arrangement offered for free. Of course it requires that you book a stay in the hotel based on their conditions.

Offered by the hotel

On arrival, the hotel will make a special welcome arrangement in the room, along with gifts.

On the wedding day, the hotel will offer:

• - A wedding cake that may be served to a maximum of four people
• - A bottle of sparkling wine
• - Candle light dinner for the couple (drinks excluded)
• - Special honeymoon turndown
• - Ironing service for the couple
• - Upgrading to a superior category depending on availability

Please don't forget that there are some legal requirements in your Mauritius wedding civil formalities.

A typical itinerary would look like this:

• - Meeting with Maurisun' wedding coordinator and hotel guest relations on the day after arrival. You may inspect the wedding location with their assistance.
• - The official wedding formalities must take place in Port Louis at least two days prior to wedding.
• - On the wedding day, ceremonies may follow a pattern similar to the one outlined below:
• - The bride and the groom prepare themselves
• - Flowers arrive followed by the civil status officer
• - Wedding ceremony*
• - The couple sign the civil status book
• - Wedding reception
• - Optional arrangements such as gala dinner.

*The ceremony would be held in a private, decorated area within the hotel premises, suitable for beach or tropical garden wedding.
