La Plantation Resort and Spa - 4 Star Hotel

In the Northwest coast of Mauritius, near the historical site of Balaclava, lays the Resort and Spa "La Plantation". With a 1000 m² of swimming pools, 4000 m² designed water environment, a river and the Indian Ocean the hotel is almost surrounded by water.

This hotel has been through a total renovation (May to September 2007) and with it conference centre (up to 700 persons) the hotel lives up to the expectation of a four star holiday and business resort that exudes an atmosphere of freedom, happiness and relaxation. A white sandy beach as well as a tropical garden with swaying palm trees and exotic flowers bordering the Citron River adds to its unique atmosphere.

The reception area is an impressive mixture of traditional and contemporary style. Rooms and suites are spacious and furnished in lively colours, thus creating a light, relaxing holiday-atmosphere.

All 271 rooms and suites are well equipped, air conditioned and provides their own private balcony or patio, with king-size beds, mini bar, private safe and Satellite TV. Bathrooms are equipped with hairdryers and separate toilet and shower. The family rooms have additional bunk beds are set up in a special children's corner. The large suites with living room, bathtub, separate shower and toilet provide an ample setting for your dream holiday.

The three restaurants and bars provide a kaleidoscope of food, drinks and entertainment. You may eat à la carte, enjoy tropical theme buffets or dine in private bliss on one of the romantic islets in the middle of the pond.

The Dolphin Spa and a wide range of sports activities offer fitness, fun and relaxation. Conference rooms equipped with the latest technology are there for guests who wish to combine business with pleasure.

Le Dauphin Kids Club, a well equipped hotel boutique, as well as room service and various other services are provided by this special hotel to make your holiday complete.

Restaurants

The main Buffet Restaurant provides both a variety of breakfast and international menu for dinner. The Gastronomy Restaurant is a big dining room, decorated by a theatrical wall fresque made of wines of the world, offers a blend of both Mauritian and European cuisine. The Beach Restaurant location ‘pied dans l'eau' and placed next to the ‘Citron' river provides a light and fresh Mediterranean menu and grills with Creole touch.

Bars

The Main Bar is a lofty bar surrounded by water invites for a refreshing cocktail and drink anytime of the day and for a quick bit, sandwiches and salads are served. The Convivial Bar invites for a drink in a quiet and convivial atmosphere where you can enjoy panoramas over the garden and the ponds. The Beach Bar faces either the sea or the river, makes you enjoy a refreshing cocktail without getting away from the beach.

Spa and Massage

The luxurious, refined and Zen environment of Dolphin Spa based on thalassic energy offers personalised care thanks to the use of natural product rich in phytoplankton, algae and olingo elements. Shops

The two shops are opened from 08:30 to noon and from 13:00 to 20:00. One of them sells gold and silver jewellery and the other one offers a large variety of souvenirs, spices, casual wear and international magazines.

A jeweller's shop(a Caunhye brand) is opened from 9:00AM to 8:00PM It offers a large variety of classy jewellery.

Hotels, Resorts and Villa Resorts

For all the accommodation, the check-in time is generally 14:00 (2 pm local time), and check-out time is 11:00 (11 am local time). Guests can ask for early arrival or late departure. Generally, charges apply equivalent to 50% of the normal rate for one night.

• Early check-in is considered to be as from 06h00
• Late check-out is considered to be before 18h00

Superior, Deluxe or Privilege room: One child (between two and 12 years of age) will be allowed to stay free of charge, except during the peak season when a compulsory HB supplement of 21 Euros will be charged.

Junior Suite: Up to three children (two to 15 years of age) will be allowed to stay free of charge.

Children in own room:

Up to three children will be allowed to opt for their own accommodation in Standard & Privilege rooms. The rate for two children will be 75% of 1/2 Double room accommodation for an adult, per child. There is no payment charged for the third child.

Payment

You must pay a deposit at the time of confirmation of your booking. This is usually 30% of the total amount. Sometimes a higher deposit is required, if airlines or other service providers request full payment. This especially applies for airlines, and certain accommodations requiring higher advance deposits -this happens mostly during peak season.

If you are booking within 40 or less days of the commencement of your visit, full payment will be due right away.

Balances to be paid must reach our account no less than 35 days before your visit with us. If we do not receive all payments due in full and on time, we are entitled to assume that you wish to cancel your booking. In this case, we will be entitled to keep all deposits paid or due at that date.

For some group tours, an additional interim payment is required, of which you will be notified at the time of quotation.

Credit card payments may incur a surcharge, which is advised at the time of payment. The surcharge range between 1 to 3% of the total invoiced amount.

Modification and cancellation policies:

Any modification or cancellation of a confirmed reservation for services will entail additional charges equivalent to the corresponding costs charged by the service providers. These charges may include penalties, administration fees and bank charges.

Airline tickets are personal and cannot be modified, transferred to or replaced by somebody else's name.

We will do our utmost to facilitate changes before the travel date; however please be advised that most flight tickets are non-refundable and that our partners apply cancellation fees. If cancellations occur within seven days after booking of services, a 3% administration fee applies. Deposits for cancellation of confirmed services more than 7 days after booking are non-refundable.

Every service provider has their own cancellation policy and cancellation fee amount. Maurisun has standardised their payment terms and cancellation fees in an effort to provide our clients with a standard policy. We will advise upon booking if conditions have become more restrictive. We refer to the General Conditions if no others are stated in the price list or no special conditions are enclosed with the invoice.

General Cancellation Policy for accommodations after full payment has been made:

• Cancellation within 14 days of booking: 50% of full amount
• Cancellation within 7 days of booking: 75% of full amount
• Cancellation within 72 hours of booking: 100% of full amount
  
  

Cancellation conditions are generally more restrictive for accommodation during peak season (Mid December to mid January) with 100% of the full amount being withheld within 45 days of booking.

Food and Beverages Supplements

All Inclusive Supplement:
Adult: 33 Euros per day
Child (under 12 years): 16 Euros per day

Christmas and New Year's supplements are included for adults and children.
