Restaurant and Bars

Le Pointe aux Piments, the main restaurant, looks over the sea. Its position on raised ground gives the impression of being on the deck of a ship. This is an open jewel case where one can sample the delights of Mauritian cuisine, with a touch of international flair, whilst listening to the relaxing melody of the Indian Ocean. Bathed in sunlight by day, the restaurant is imbued with a subdued ambience propitious to reverie by night. Open every day, the restaurant can seat up to 90 people for a buffet breakfast, an à la carte lunch or even an international buffet, live cooking or table d'hôte dinner.

L'Océan is an à la carte restaurant, which is devoted to the best of what the sea offers, with carefully selected fresh produce. After an aperitif on the terrace, which offers an impregnable view of the ocean, you can enjoy our fish and seafood dishes, which are prepared simply and tastefully. Open every day except Sunday for dinner only, this 25-seat restaurant offers a warm and peaceful atmosphere. It can also accommodate meetings and seminars for small groups in a most convivial setting.

La Sirène Bar, the main bar, is a lively place endowed with a variety of spaces. This is an ideal place for those who want to gather at around a cocktail or a coffee or to have a few snacks. The cosy ambience of this lounge bar with a well-thought-out arrangement of space and volumes - around a central beam of light and large picture windows that let the sea waft in - extends to the terrace. This is a relaxation zone where one can unwind to restful ocean waves caressing the shore and enjoy spectacular sunsets over the water. The bar is open from 10:00 hrs till midnight, with snacks available until 18:00 hrs.

Spa

Le Latanier Wellness Lounge offers itself to the sight of incoming guests from the moment they arrive at the hotel. Guests can feel a world of voluptuous pleasure, well-being and serenity, with an air of mystery that is enhanced by a labyrinth filled with the delicate scents of essential oils with healing properties. Three treatment cabins are available with a double massage room, which will take you on an extraordinary sensorial journey. Whilst the body succumbs to the pleasure of relaxation and the delicate movement of expert hands, a sublime visual effect gives the impression of a pool overflowing into the sea. The programme also comprises a hammam and a sauna for utterly relaxing and regenerative holidays.

Sports/Entertainment

A variety of water sports is available including kayaking, pedal boats, glass-bottom boat rides, snorkelling and water skiing. All of them free of charge. Other services such as deep sea fishing, scuba diving, the children' kiosk, sauna, Hammam and a range of relaxing massage treatments at the Latanier Wellness Lounge are available for a fee.

Late check out policy:

Hotels, Resorts and Villa Resorts

For all the accommodation, the check-in time is generally 14:00 (2 pm local time), and check-out time is 11:00 (11 am local time). Guests can ask for early arrival or late departure. Generally, charges apply equivalent to 50% of the normal rate for one night.

- Early check-in is considered to be as from 06h00
- Late check-out is considered to be before 18h00

Cancellation Policy:

Payment

You must pay a deposit at the time of confirmation of your booking. This is usually 30% of the total amount. Sometimes a higher deposit is required, if airlines or other service providers request full payment. This especially applies for airlines, and certain accommodations requiring higher advance deposits -this happens mostly during peak season.

If you are booking within 40 or less days of the commencement of your visit, full payment will be due right away.

Balances to be paid must reach our account no less than 35 days before your visit with us. If we do not receive all payments due in full and on time, we are entitled to assume that you wish to cancel your booking. In this case, we will be entitled to keep all deposits paid or due at that date.

For some group tours, an additional interim payment is required, of which you will be notified at the time of quotation.

Credit card payments may incur a surcharge, which is advised at the time of payment. The surcharge range between 1 to 3% of the total invoiced amount.

Modification and cancellation policies

Any modification or cancellation of a confirmed reservation for services will entail additional charges equivalent to the corresponding costs charged by the service providers. These charges may include penalties, administration fees and bank charges.

Airline tickets are personal and cannot be modified, transferred to or replaced by somebody else's name.

We will do our utmost to facilitate changes before the travel date; however please be advised that most flight tickets are non-refundable and that our partners apply cancellation fees. If cancellations occur within seven days after booking of services, a 3% administration fee applies. Deposits for cancellation of confirmed services more than 7 days after booking are non-refundable.

Every service provider has their own cancellation policy and cancellation fee amount. Maurisun has standardised their payment terms and cancellation fees in an effort to provide our clients with a standard policy. We will advise upon booking if conditions have become more restrictive. We refer to the General Conditions if no others are stated in the price list or no special conditions are enclosed with the invoice.

General Cancellation Policy for accommodations after full payment has been made:

- Cancellation within 14 days of booking: 50% of full amount
- Cancellation within 7 days of booking: 75% of full amount
- Cancellation within 72 hours of booking: 100% of full amount

Cancellation conditions are generally more restrictive for accommodation during peak season (Mid December to mid January) with 100% of the full amount being withheld within 45 days of booking.
