Tamarin Hotel - Rooms On Half Board

The Tamarin area is more than a famous surf spot. It was once a legendary hippie destination.

The village of Tamarin nestles between the bay and the Tamarin River. With its prominent salt pans, the Martello Tower and the nearby Black River National Park, there are many landmarks here.

Nature lovers will love the lagoon, home of dolphins and porpoises. The area is also home to some of the best deep fishing waters of the world. Conditions for diving are excellent.

The cuisine at the hotel matches the atmosphere of the hotel. There are tropical buffets, as well as vegetarian and dietary dishes.

Under the roof of a wooden kiosk, in the middle of the garden, the Crazy Fish Bar brings about the ambience of a fisherman's village, where guests can enjoy Tamarin cocktails and many flavoured rums.  The favourite hangout of some of the best musicians of the island, this unique little hotel spoils you with great musical entertainment, varying from delightful jazz to rhythmic Sega.

For those seeking harmony, peace of mind and de-stressing the body, the hotel has an in-house spa, where the health specialists will attend to their every need.

Late check out will be as per the Maurisun policy.

Sharing the parents' room is free of charge for children below two years of age.

For children between three and 12 years of age, the rate will be 29 Euros per child per night during the peak season (Christmas and New Year period) and 20 Euros during the rest of the year.

Two children less than 12 years can opt for accommodation in a separate room. The cost will be 1/2 Double room rate, plus children's supplement.

One or two children will be allowed to stay with one parent (adult) at 1/2 Double room rate, along with children's supplement.

Payment
You will need to make an advance payment, usually 30% of the total amount, as a deposit to confirm your booking. Maurisun Adventure & Tours will communicate to you the amount to be paid in advance, at the time of booking.

The deposit may vary, depending upon the various factors that make the package and the tourist season of the year (peak season or off season). For some group tours, there could be an additional interim deposit.

Outstanding balance must be paid not less than six weeks prior to your arrival.

In case of last minute bookings, you will need to make the full payment at the time of booking.                            

There will be a 3% surcharge for payment made through credit card.

If payment is not received by the due date, your reservation will be considered cancelled, with no return of the deposit. Effort will be made to contact you before this is implemented.

Conditions for Cancellations

General conditions will apply, in the absence of any special conditions or stipulations in the price list. Any special conditions will be enclosed with the invoice.

The general conditions applicable in case of cancellations are:

- within 30 days         20%
- within 14 days         60%
- within 7 days           80%
- within 72 hours       100%

Please note that these conditions might change for some accommodation and periods, i.e. Peak season (Mid December to mid January) 45 days: 100%.

In case of overbooking or when the service provider fails to provide the promised accommodation, Maurisun reserves the right to accommodate the traveller in the same type of accommodation and standard, if not better. 

Cancellation by Agent

In the unlikely event of the cancellation of a trip by the Tour Operator, the agent will propose an equivalent trip and/or package to the client.

If the client chooses to refuse that option, then the agent shall refund the entire amount paid to him by the client. Additionally, the agent will pay the client a cancellation fee equivalent to what the agent would have claimed if the client had cancelled his trip.

The only exception to the above would be cases of force majeure, such as a natural calamity. 

Technical Provider and Financial Security

Your agent who booked the package for you is your Technical Provider.

Maurisun Adventure & Tours Ltd is an accredited agent, recognised by The Tourist Authority of Mauritius.

Maurisun cannot be held liable for any omissions, misprint, misspelling that might occur in the production of this brochure and the price list.
