Please don't forget that there are some legal requirements for your Mauritius wedding civil formalities.

A typical itinerary would be:

• - Meet with Maurisun's wedding coordinator the day after your arrival. You would inspect the wedding location with the coordinator. This is usually combined with a sightseeing trip.
  
  
• - Official wedding formality in Port Louis (this must happen a minimum of two days prior to wedding).
  
  
• - On the wedding day, we will take care of transfer from the hotel (this generally takes no more than 30 minutes).
  
  
• - At the wedding location (where everything is ready) the staff will welcome the couple and their guests. The photographer will take pictures throughout the ceremony.
  
  
• - After the introduction of the civil status officer, the wedding begins. The officer wil explain the laws for weddings in Mauritius. Vows will be exchanged and recorded in the civil status book. The officer will then declare the couple husband and wife.
  
  
• - The actual ceremony usually takes about 30 minutes. The officer will be available for pictures after the ceremony.
  
  
• - A photo session takes place right after the ceremony.
  
  
• - The chef and his assistant will serve drinks followed by lunch/dinner. Wedding cakes and champagne are usually offered after the meal, but can be offered right after the wedding ceremony as part of the photo shoot if requested by the couple.
  
  
• - After lunch/dinner the couple and their guests return to their hotel by car.
